Headless Chicken
Letter to Editor
Around 80 years ago, in the United States of America, a farmer decapitated a chicken but the chicken did not die. It continued to live for another 18 months, becoming a tourist attraction of sorts. How did this happen? Contemporary experts claimed the chicken survived because its brainstem had not been severed [1, 2, 3]. I disagree. The brain stem relays information/messages from the brain to the other parts of the body. Since the chicken was headless, and thus brainless where was the brainstem relaying the messages from? The answer to this headless chicken phenomenon can actually be explained thus.
- The Germ Terrain Duality theory [4].
- The Cellular Dust Hypothesis/Microzyman Theory of origin [5, 6, 7, 8, 9].
- Seun Ayoade’s law of Living Things [10, 11].
- The theory that microzmas/cellular dust are behind blood clotting and that blood clotting occurs by the process of fermentation, and not by haemostasis [12].
I therefore humbly submit that this chicken survived without a head simply because the cellular dust/microzymas of the chicken refused to decoordinate [13, 14]. What happened to this chicken can be explained as an extreme case of phantom pain/phantom limb [15, 16, 17].
