Rachel Nandawula Musoke was born in and schooled Uganda with medical training at Makerere University, Uganda, and neonatology in United Kingdom. She had grown up professionally at the University of Nairobi, and now a professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health and Kenyatta National Hospital Newborn Unit. She has been head of Neonatology for over 30 years. Her other passion is child nutrition especially infant and young child feeding In addition she has worked closely with the Kenyan Ministry of Health in developing curricula and guidelines, adaptation of training materials as well as participating in training of health professionals within Kenya. Consultancy work with IBFAN Africa, WHO and UNICEF.
